Sea Ferries to Scotland and the Highlands

Travelling to the Highlands from Europe or Ireland is convenient and perhaps a more comfortable and more relaxing option to alternatives. Arrive in Scotland relaxed and ready for your first full day of sight-seeing.

P&O Ferries operate a full range of ferry services to the south of England from Europe. They also operate a service from Zeebrugge and Rotterdam to Hull in the midlands, which makes for a much shorter journey to Scotland.

On their overnight crossings from Hull to Zeebrugge or Hull to Rotterdam, customers can enjoy an evening of entertainment. Their ships depart in the evening on a daily basis to these destinations. Customers can also book minicruises from Hull to either Amsterdam, Bruges or Rotterdam and coach transfers to these destinations are included in the price. Spring minicruises to Amsterdam or Bruges are from £72 per person and for April and May they can also choose to book special minicruises to Keukenhof Gardens from £86 per person to see the tulips (garden entrances also included).

Their services from Ireland will bring you to Scottish ferry ports of Cairn Ryan and Troon in Ayrshire - one of the most popular destination in Scotland for golf.

Caledonian MacBrayne operate most sea ferry trips in the Scottish West Highlands from places like Oban, Mallaig, Lochaline, and further north of Lochaber from Uig on Skye to the Hebrides.

Other sea travel operators provide all inclusive cruise holidays to Scotland and the Highalnd west coast in particular - Hebridean Princess and MV Quest are two such vessels who visit Fort William each year as part of their Highalnd cruise itinerary.
