Glenfinnan House Hotel & Restaurant

Glenfinnan House Hotel stands just around the bay from the tall Bonnie Prince Charlie monument on Loch Shiel, with its lawn rolling down to the beach. The famous Glenfinnan viaduct railway bridge, used as a scene in several Harry Potter films, is a 10-minute walk away through the Glenfinnan Estate where Red Deer can often be seen.

This country house hotel in Scotland is a fine stone 18th century mansion dating from 1755. The original owner was Alexander MacDonald VII of Glenaladale who was wounded at Culloden as a member of the Jacobite army; the house then passed down through the family for many generations. Today Manja and Duncan Gibson are the resident managers – and extremely hospitable hosts – who will welcome you into the delightful Hall, with its log fire blazing.

We offer excellent Highland hospitality and have individually decorated bedrooms to suit most tastes.
